Attorney
Before becoming a criminal defense attorney, Chris spent years as a prosecutor and handled a variety of criminal matters. He also served as the Chief Assistant District Attorney in Nevada County. Previously, he was a deputy district attorney in Kings, Fresno, and Santa Clara counties. All this helped him build a reputation as an aggressive, highly respected force in the world of California criminal law.
Chris earned his J.D. from Oak Brook College of Law, where he graduated with honors. When he passed the bar at age 22, he was one of the youngest lawyers in the State of California. He received his B.A. from Excelsior College, where he also graduated with honors.
Chris has extensive jury trial experience. During his time as a prosecutor, he spent years on specialized units that handled gang, sexual assault, and homicides. He has tried many high-profile and complex cases including a cold case, rape-murder committed in 1983. Chris was twice recognized as Prosecutor of the Year in Fresno County and was nominated for Trial Attorney of the Year in Santa Clara County.
Since entering private practice, Chris has used his experience to provide first-rate representation to those facing criminal charges, especially those who have never encountered the justice system before. He says, “Sometimes good people find themselves in bad situations. It makes all the difference in the world to have the right attorney fighting for you. I think of each case as if my client was a family member or friend who needed help. I would want someone like me there for them.”
